Our key research partners include:

We are a Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) funded provider of mental health services. Our research aligns with the goals and priorities of this partnership, to enhance our knowledge of mental health care provision to families, and the associated support of workforce skill and well-being.

This is Victoria’s longest running study of social-emotional development in Victorian families. Directed by Prof. Craig Olsson, its Generation 3 studies of early attachment development are led by Bouverie’s Professor McIntosh. Learn more about the project.

The Victorian Government is investing in programs and services focused on reducing the number of women in prison including an in-prison pilot family therapy service, designed to help women’s successful reintegration from prison back to the family unit. We share a vision with the Department of Justice and Community to improve outcomes for people in Victoria, with particular focus on Indigenous women. Learn more about the project.

This is a long-standing research consultancy, brought to The Bouverie Centre by Professor Jennifer McIntosh in 2020. The partnership centres on the study of family violence and safety, and interventions designed to support the most vulnerable of families. Learn more about these projects.

We have partnered with headspace since 2013 to support services providing mental health support to young people across Australia.

Together with the Psychosocial Research Centre (PRC), this partnership focuses on family engagement, resulting in the implementation of Single Session Family Consultation (SSFC) in headspace centres across Australia as well as the current development of an online psycho-educational resource.
