Requirements of the course

  1. Firstly, students must meet certain eligibility criteria to be considered for entry into the course.
  2. During the first year, students must take part in one day of face-to-face training per week (26 days in total) at a specified venue in their local community. (Read more about our unique approach to training.) To graduate from the course, students must participate in and attend 80% of classes, and successfully complete a range of verbal presentations, and written reflections. (Note: Students requiring assistance with coursework will be fully supported).
  3. For two years following training, students are invited to participate in 50 hours of group supervision held on a monthly to six-weekly basis. This supervision is provided as part of the three year program by the Indigenous Program and is delivered in Community.

What does it cost?

The Post-Graduate Certificate in Family Therapy for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workers is free of charge for eligible students. (Students' organisations to source the funding).
